Catching up

We arrived safely at our Amsterdam hotel about an hour ago. Apparently an unattended bag caused the cancellation of 108 British Airways flights out of Heathrow yesterday; ours being one of them. We decided to cut and run after about 4 hours, walked a mile to find a cab to take us to the nearest tube station, and then took the underground to Waterloo Terminal. My blackberry was a lifesaver, as I was able to find enough information to plan our escape route as we rode. After Chad almost got arrested at Waterloo (I'll let him write about that later), we then transferred to Liverpool Street where we caught a train to Harwich - caught a ferry to Hook of Holland and then another train to Amsterdam via Rotterdam. And here we are. As crazy and inconvenient as it all was, I actually had a pretty good time frantically trying to put together a plan and enact that plan all at the same time. Chad mentioned that it reminded him of 'War of the Worlds.' and I have to agree.

So to update those of you who like to hear about where we've been and what we have seen, I will give a quick review of what we have been up to since I last gave a report. On Sunday we started at the Houses of Parliament, walked across Westminster Bridge and then north along South Bank checking out the London Eye, Jubilee Gardens, and Shakespeare's Globe. After a stop for some Fish & Chips, we then crossed Millennium Bridge to St. Paul's Cathedral and then took the underground to St. James Park and then to Buckingham Palace. All the photos can be seen here.

Sunday evening we went to a pub in Notting Hill called Prince Albert. We met some interesting characters, but I will save those stories for another time.

On Monday we took a train and a 20 minute bus ride to Stonehenge. Those photos are here.

Alright - I will write again later and have Chad write some as well.... Right now the Red Light District is calling my name.

I have chills seeing you two at Stonehenge. Amazing. Thank you for the updates and the pictures.

This has been the SLOWEST week of my entire life. Actually yesterday my colorist in LA compared it to the last week of pregnancy when I described to her what I was feeling. GREAAAAT.

I am so anxious to embark on this journey and see you two in Italy. I hope you won't be too tired to travel around with me by the time you reach the villa.

I miss you guys terribly but am so thrilled you are experiencing all of this together. XXOO

Sounds like a crazy couple of days, man. I can just imagine you and chad making your break out of london and figuring out a way to get to Amsterdam. I'd have killed to be a fly on the wall during that whole thing. Sounds like it was a pretty cool adventure.

Enjoying the blog and living vicariously through you bastards. The pics of Stonehenge were real cool.

I'm sure you are keeping up, but watched your dodgers last night. Matt Kemp is the man, driving in the go ahead run for the second night in a row. He's batting almost .400 since being called up. Also Betemit is on a tear....3-4 with a homer and a few RBIs. Strange is the game of baseball.

Tell Chad I said hello.

Jessie thought YOU left a bag unattended and caused the cancellations and that was why Chad almost got arrested...HILARIOUS! By the by, why did Chad almost get arrested?

I am so Jealous. Marietta you should have taken me with you. I could have lightened things up just like Chad. You know me, I am always in for fun or maybe trouble is correct word. lol. Hey that would be a great place to get me a pair of sexy shoes. lol. You know me and my shoes. It's all about sexy.
And Keith I am so disappointed in you. I mean you have to go all the way to Italy to find Italian food and you know I cook the best, I hope you haven't forgotten.
Whitney I think you have your hands full with Chad. Good luck with that. But I know you girl you can handle or calm anything. Send me pictures. Dan and I went to Italy one time when we lived over seas. I guess I was just so young and imature to really enjoy it. What I do remember is having our Red Transam and driving to Amsterdam and eating some brownies at a club. Well, nobody told me that put other stuff in those brownies and I remember getting so high and then sick. When we went to get in our car someone stole all the gas out. When we asked for help , they said that wasn't against the law. That most locals know to put a lock cap on the tank. So I guess they are really a laxed country. I wish I still had those pictures. Dan had them and I have no idea what happened to them and Zeke's baby book with more pictures in them. The ones I did have were lost in the hurricane so oh well I still have a sound mind. (ok stop laughing Keith and Marietta)
Are the guys still going to run with the bulls?? I think I can pick that up on the internet so let me know what day that is. Please please send me some pictures.
I found Kasey on My Space I bet he was freaked out. Someone my age having a Myspace. But hey tell him we can be hip even at our age it's just a number. I love yall and I am so excited for yall.
Hey Whit it's a perfect place to get married. LOL ok ok it was just a thought. But hold up I want to be in the wedding. I have always been a bride and never a brides maid. I still have hopes someone loves me to put me in their wedding.
Love yall
Theresa
